The internationally renowned economic player in the field of e-commerce, Amazon Logistics, has just inaugurated its new delivery agency in Woippy, which will focus on the last mile. The city of Woippy will become a hub for the delivery of parcels to final customers. Located in an 11,000 m² warehouse, the international firm will eventually employ 50 people on permanent contracts and will use some 150 subcontractors from local companies. Among the people present at the inauguration, Ronan BOLÉ, Director France of Amazon Logistics and former student of ENIM Metz was on site alongside Eva RAJERY RASATA, Director of the Woippy site. At the national level, Amazon Logistics represents 9,000 jobs, which can increase to 20,000 in peak periods. This last mile antenna is the 9th in France and will be inspired by the Japanese model, the GEMBA: not time saving but compliance with procedures. A founding principle of operational excellence.
